Description
Everyone who knows the Wieden mining area will agree with me, that this beautiful specimen was found during the active mining period before 1974 and has nothing to do with the later finds made by countless collectors. These mines were litarally "flooded" by collectors via an illegal entrance named "Fuchsbau" (burrow), a tight and small, relatively dangerous tunnel, a couple of meters long. But they never discovered this kind of fresh quality with sharp and highly lustrous, violet, cubed Fluorite crystals. These are accompanied by, and embedded with, tiny Pyrite crystals for more aesthetics and dramatics. Despite not perfect, this is a very aesthetic and old-time Black Forest specimen,- meanwhile seldom seen for sale and consequently hard to obtain.
