Description
A wonderful slab of distinctive banded and colour-zoned Schalenblende,- a mix of Wurtzite, Sphalerite and Galena. This is classic material from the well known and old Segen Gottes Mine of Wiesloch near Heidelberg. The Segen Gottes Mine was an old lead and zinc mine closed in 1953. The mine site and most of the dumps have been landscaped and consequently good specimens like this one a rare and meanwhile hard to come by.
