Description
This is a classic specimen of burnt orange-brown, intergrown but still exposed, typically barrel shaped crystals of Campylite richly lining the display face of the piece. Campylite is the, still mentioned barrel-shaped variety of Mimetite and here we have the specimen from the "type locality", the Dry Gill Mine of Cumbria. The crystals and clusters are showing a fine luster, a good colour and almost pristine. A great thumber with fine overall aesthetics.
