Description
This is a rare matrix specimen, sadly one of only a few recovered when the miners scraped out this pocket. This larger specimen (for the find) displays better in person as it is hard to capture all the angles and reflections in the photo here. It has a bunch of nice, lemon-yellow flattened crystals on typically matrix. Despujolsite is a very rare hydrated calcium manganese sulfate and here we have sharp and well developed crystals. This fine piece is from the older finds at famed N´Chwaning II Mine of Kalahari Manganese Fields
