Description
Here we have a fine and old-time ore specimen from Schöpferstollen (Schöpfer Vein) of Hodruša (Hodritsch in German) at Banská Štiavnica in Slovakia. The specimen consists of a mix of brassy, slightly tarnished Chalcopyrite, grainy Polybasite and multifaced reddish Calcite. On one side of the specimen we see a brick-red vug, loaded with tabular-multifaced and nicely striated, partly six-sided Polybasite crystals. They are mostly sharp edged and showing fine metallic sheen. This uncommon specimen comes with two antique labels.
