Description
Once considered its own species, this Sphärosiderite is now considered to be a microcrystalline botryoidal variety of Siderite. This is classic and unique material with several, glassy, pale amber coloured spheres and hemispheres, accompanied by glistening Calcite on beige coloured matrix. In the heyday of Herja Mine in the 1970s and 1980s specimens of this varietal popped up from time to time, but not very often. Meanwhile, such stuff completely disappeared from the scene.
