Description
A visually impressive plate of sparkly balls of drusy and gemmy Rhodochrosite in combination with a wonderful and RARE Shigaite cluster. The largest of the Rhodochrosite balls is 1.7 cm across. Of greatest interest is the Rhodochrosite/Shigaite combination. The Shigaite crystals are a little over 1 mm across and have a very sharp hexagonal habit. Overall, this is really quite a stunning piece for its aesthetics, colour, and association. From the collection of Dr. Gerd Tremmel (Gerdtremmelite)
