Description
A showy and rare combination from one of the Franklin Marble quarries of the famous Franklin Mining district, not the zinc ore deposits at Franklin and Sterling Hill. Both sides of the Calcite matrix host numerous patches of yellow-brown Norbergite, a rare Mg-silicate with a halogen and member of the Humite group. The specimen also hosts scattered tiny but mirror bright Graphite crystals and fragments. Great and old-time material, rarely seen for sale on the mineral market. NOTE: The Norbergite on this specimen has yellow fluorescence.
