Description
This is a relaitvely rich specimen of uncommon species Germanite from the type locality, the Tsumeb Mine of Otjikoto Region in Namibia. Slightly iridescent masses of metallic, Germanite-rich ore, probably from level 37 of the Tsumeb Mine, deep in its third oxidation zone. This region was noted for its incredible wealth of very rare elements and minerals containing germanium, among others.
