Description
A very rare large matrix specimen of this extremely hard-to-find species. It features numerous, sparkling crystals of intense blue Hauyne embedded in and perched on a soft matrix of loosely bound, grainy Quartz material. It is typical of the material, just unusually large and rich. Hauyne is named in honor the famed, 19th. century crystallographer and mineralogist, Abbe Rene Just Hauy and this matrix specimen has glassy and gemmy, vibrant, rich blue "crystals". Such rich items are rarely offered for sale and they are consequently hard to come by.
