Here we have a fine thumber of Newberyite from the TYPE LOCALITY, the Skipton Caves of Mt. Widderin at Corangamite Shire, Victoria, Australia. Newberyite is a rare magnesium phosphate, found first in a series of lava caves in Australia, the type locality (where this specimen is from). This specimen features an aggregate of rather large platy crystals. A fine specimen for this material
