Description
A beautiful cluster of Rhodochrosite from the well known US locale Sunnyside Mine of Silverton, Colorado. The light pink rhombohedral crystals are covered with a lighter second generation which is associated with milky, slightly elongated Quartz crystals. Only minor imperfection on this very aesthetic thumber. The Sunnyside Mine started in the late 1880´s and closed 1930. Reopened 1937 and closed 1938. So this kind of material is old and classic and meanwhile seldom seen for sale.
