Description
Here we see a beautiful cluster of glassy, slightly amber Barytes with one very exposed major crystal from the famous Frizington locality. The Baryte crystals here have gemmy, chisel-point terminations, and the luster is as gleaming as you can possibly imagine. English Barytes, particularly from Frizington, have a storied history, with many of these classics having been mined in the 1800s from this extinct iron mine. Impressive and aesthetic Frizington Barytes such as this cabinet sized piece have always been in great demand and do not often come available, especially in this quality. Despite there is one almost invisible repair (no restoration) THIS IS A KILLER PIECE ALL THE WAY and would be naturally an enrichment for every great collection. Comes with a high quality lucite custom base for display.
