Description
This specimen is one of the most elegant examples of this size I have seen in a long time, from the famous early 1980s finds at the old Batopilas silver district in Mexico. These specimens were brought to market by John Whitmire at the time. Here we have an elegantly balanced piece, on just the right amount of Calcite matrix pedestal. It shows a classic, and very fine, herringbone pattern of spinel-twinned Silver crystals as a beautifull aggregate, superbly perched atop the matrix. The crystal cluster is relatively robust, not very fragile and "bendy" as are so many from these finds. This great piece comes with a lucite base for custom display. Valued in our stock with € 1200,00
