Description
A super mini with well developed and partly frayed terminated crystals of Pyrolusite from the old Black Widow Mine (Stella Maris No. 1 Mine) of Sheridan Mountains in Pima Co., Arizona. The relatively stout crystals here are sharp edged as well and they are showing a high metallic sheen. The Black Widow Mine is a former small surface and underground Mn mine located in North-central sec. 36, T.11S., R.2E. (protracted), in the Sheridan Mountains, 9 miles NW of Gu Achi. Discovered 1955.
