Description
A dramatic specimen with a ridge of large, highly lustrous Hausmannite on matrix, accented with burnt orange Andradite crystals, from this famous mine which has produced unarguably the world´s best of species. The central crystals, upon which others are stacked like a pagoda tower, are up to 2,8 cm in lenght apiece. The Hausmannite here is complete 360 degrees and has excellent form, good luster, and classic jet black colour. These are very good crystals of high quality and unusually well displayed. So far I can see, there are no significant imperfections on the Hausmannite, which were worth to report. Old time material from the great finds in the 1980s. Ex Dietrich Mayer Collection.
