Description

This is an excellent specimen with a 4 cm tall, very gemmy, doubly terminated Beryl crystals (var. Aquamarine) from the La Esperanza Quarry north of the town of La Calera in the Cordoba Province in central Argentina. This light sea green, excellent, slender floater weighs 13 grams, has an extremely high vitreous luster despite the prism faces etched by Mother Nature, and a tapered termination on one side. This specimen is from finds from the early 2000s and is now, 20 years later, extremely rarely offered. It is somewhat reminiscent of the Jacquetô Aquamarine from Brazil.
