Description

Another exquisite piece of well formed and sharp Pyrargyrite, in this case perfectly and contrastfully accompanied by multifaceted and lustrous crystals of Calcite. This is a typical combo from the well known Samson Mine of St. Andreasberg in the Harz Mountains, the probably most famous European locality for this highly desired silver-sulfosalt. Here we have excellent crystals of Pyrargyrite, exceeding rich of faces with a superb luster and high aesthetics. The major crystal, with hexagonal basic-shape and up to 1,2 cm in diameter is set atop the middle of the specimen. So far I can see,all significant crystals are sharp and pristine. This fine specimen dates back to the time of the 1890s to 1910 and comes with a high quality acrylic base.
