Description

Here we have a superbly crystallized and arranged specimen of Manganoan Adamite from the well known Mexican locale Ojuela Mine of Durango. The gossan matrix features a wide opened vug and is supplanted by beautiful velvety spheres of black Goethite. Emplaced on the Goethite are sprays of lustrous and translucent, bicoloured, colourless to lavender-purpley, Manganoan Adamite. The Adamite is colourless at the core and at the termination grades to a magnificent, lavender. All the Adamite is lustrous and sparkling! The contrast in colour and textures between the Goethite, and the biclored Adamite is beautiful on this superb old specimen probably from the early 1980s Adamite finds here.
