Description
Here we see a fantastic small cabinet sized crystal cluster of Bismuthinite from the famous Tazna Mine in Bolivia. It consists of many, large, partly terminated, prismatic crystals of Bismuthinite to 4,4 cm in length. There must be almost a dozen, multiply divergent, highly gray metallic, prismatic crystals of this uncommon bismuth sulfide that comprise this handsome piece. Luster and overall aesthetics are great despite there are some imperfections. The Tazna Mine is a historic bismuth-tungsten mine in the high Andes of Bolivia that has produced noteworthy specimens for decades. And this is a great one. This is an unpaid specimen of a former auction.
