Description
Here we see a superb Vesuvianite specimen with excellent formed crystals from the famous Italian locality Bellecombe of Piedmont. They are super sharp and beautifully terminated. Definitely an important and very fine Vesuvianite from this classic locality. This specimen features fat, deep cognac-brown crystals with superb luster. They are glassy and transparent, and just plain beautiful. No damage on display face, though there is a contacted spot on the rear of the piece. These Italian Vesuvianites have long set the standard for the species as far as Europeans are concerned, and their only real competition, from the Jeffrey Quarry, is of different colour and crystal habit. This super aesthetic specimen can easily be valued with 1000 €
