Description
Compared with other, worldwide Sphalerite specimens the piece falls off in quality. But every cognoscente of Black Forest minerals will agree with me, that good specimens from the Schauinsland area are exceeding hard to come by. And here we have a good one, despite the pictures can´t convey the quality. The dark brown to black crystals are multifaced, sharp edged and highly lustrous. They are accented by less, creamy, rhombohedral Dolomit. A good and classic Black Forest specimen with only minor imperfection, and this just at the periphery.
