Description
A fine, slightly star-shaped cluster of Stibnite from the famous Austrian locale Neustift near Schlaining in Burgenland state. This Antimony Mine, located 3 km north of Stadtschlaining in Austria, began operations in the 1700s, exploiting Stibnite-bearing hydrothermal veins of Tertiary age. The mine produced a good variety of mineral specimens and amongst these were some wonderful Stibnites formed from intergrown good sized crystals. And this beautiful old-time specimen features a bunch of elongated, metallic crystals on typically matrix.
