Description
A relatively large and heavy specimen with several clusters of Roman sword shaped Semseyite crystals from the famous Romanian locale Herja Mine of Maramureș. The crystals are almost well developed, sharp edged and good terminated, despite there are some distinct imperfections on the crystals. A good sample of the rare sulfosalt, named in honor of Andor von Semsey (22 December 1833, Kassa, Hungary - 14 August 1923, Budapest, Hungary), a Nobleman and amateur mineralogist. The mineral andorite is also named after him.
