Description
Here we have a fine and relatively large plate of red-brown scalenohedral Rhodochrosite richly covering typically matrix. This superb specimen features gemmy and lustrous Rhodochrosite microcrystals richly scattered on ore matrix from a rare and old-time locality, the Moanda Manganese Mine in Gabon. The single crystals are well developed, sharp and well terminated. This material came out in the 1960s and 1970s.
