Description
This is definitely an extraordinary piece of Arsenopyrite, associated with disc-shaped, beige Siderite from the famous Portuguese locale of Panasqueira at Covilhã, Castelo Branco. The metallic, slightly gun-metal silver crystals are excellent defined, sharp edged and well terminated. Panasqueira is one of the more classic "modern" European localities. Although the area is partially defunct, it produced some amazing specimens about 40 years ago. It is certainly one of the most distinctive localities in the world and it has produced some amazing Arsenopyrite specimens. A fine specimen with only minor imperfection
