Description
Mineral collecting in the Yukon in Canada’s north is challenging. The only way in and out is by helicopter and you have to bring in all your food and equipment for the trip (and hope that the helicopter comes back to pick you up!). Looking at the efforts to self-collect makes the decision easy to get this Wardite specimen at auction. And it is a great one with excellently sharp tetragonal bipyramidal crystals of greenish-brownish color, gemmy-translucent and up to 0.9 cm rich on matrix. It’s a no-brainer!
