Here is another Alpine classic: Pericline, a variety of Albite, commonly elongated along the b-axis (for those who want to now), and a common occurrence in alpine-type clefts. That is the mineralogical background for this excellent Austrian piece. A cluster of large, blocky, Pericline crystals up to 4 cm, milky white in color and shiny porcelain luster.
