Description
Whitish translucent Euclase crystals to 1 cm tall on a matrix of light to dark brown, Muscovite sheets from the Safira pegmatite district in the Eastern Brazilian pegmatite province. Unfortunately, not all crystals are perfect, which is not really a surprise: The species was named in 1792 by famous French mineralogist by René Just Haüy alluding to the perfect cleavage of the mineral. A rich piece, a Brazilian classic, and much better in person!
