Description
This is a TOP specimen with a complex mineralogical history: A 5.5 cm measuring perimorph of Quartz after Calcite. A hollow cast with a boxwork of thin Quartz septa is left after the Calcite was dissolved. At a later stage, a second generation of Quartz crystal was deposited. The matrix is Pyrite, very typical for the Tuscan Niccioleta Mine.
