Description
Gänsberg was an exploration shaft for Led-Zinc-Silver ores, and part of the Grube Segen Gottes (Blessing of God Mine), which operated from 1948 until its closure in 1954. Clusters on sparkling cream-white Barite crystals to approximately 1.2 cm abundantly cover typical matrix. This rare Barite specimen found its way into the collection of Dr. Manfred Schönfelder in 1953.
