Description
Tiny grayish sparkling Pectolite crystals coat the terminations of spherical Natrolite clusters with the typical arrangement of radial sprays of acicular crystals. Some Apophyllite crystals with a vitreous luster occupy the space between the Natrolite sprays. This specimen is not a show stopper but it is a very rich and excellent locality piece. And it has provenance! It comes with an old label that states that the piece is from the collection of the “Gymnasiums der PP. Franziskaner, Bozen”, a catholic high school in Bolzano, Italy with a history that goes back to 1780.
