Description
This is a great small cabinet-sized specimen of opaque to nicely translucent Blue Quartz, the blue variety of Quartz. The gray blue crystals are up to almost 4 cm tall, with a vitreous luster and clearly visible horizontal striations. Fun fact: the color is caused by inclusion of Magnesioriebeckite or Crocidolite, or Tourmaline. A TOP specimen from an extremely rare species from the Brazilian Jenipapo pegmatite field.
