Description
A great miniature specimen from the Goboboseb Mountains of Namibia. Two tightly intergrown Quartz (var. Amethyst) crystals, the largest measuring 5.5 cm tall. Their color is a deep purple, they are pristine, gemmy translucent. However, the icing on the cake is a special crystallographic feature: One of the crystals is especially nicely terminated and shows triangular pyramids, so called vicinal pyramids (“Vizinalpyramiden”) on the main rhombohedral face, the r-face. That’s pretty spectacular!
