Description
This is a perfect, almost completely closed Gwindel from Val Val near Sedrun Switzerland. It is realtively slim, gemmy and closed with a super twist. These twisted Quartz crystals, at their best, look like blown glass. They are totally different than most Quartzes, and much more rare. Somehow, they also seem to be more glassy and lustrous... Alpine gwindels somehow win the mineralogical lottery and gain the freakiest luster you could ask for a closed Rockcrystal Gwindel. This is areal rarity for the Swiss alps and in splendend condition with a print of another Quartz at the bottom at the backside. The pictures aren´t able to convey this fine quality, so this specimen is way better in person.
