Description
This is an exceptional doubly terminated Scepter Quartz from the Goboboseb Mountains in the northwestern part of the Namibian Erongo Region where Quartz is recovered from pits and open cuts mostly by artisanal miners. This beauty has sharp edges and a great vitreous luster. The deep purple shaft transitions into a beige to smoky scepter with the latter showing some Window Quartz features. It has hardly any damage, mostly spots from contact with host rock. Quartz from this locality often has gas bubbles with fluid inclusions, however, I have not checked this piece. A uniquely aesthetic piece!
