Description
This is an exceptional locality specimen with grass green prismatic Pyromorphite crystals to 1 cm tall. The slightly barrel-shaped crystals are perched on a Quartz matrix. Though not without very little damage, this is a top piece from the Heilige Dreifaltigkeit Mine, a mine with a long history. First mentioned in 1478, it was mined for lead until 1830, when it was operated as a very early specimen mine for the mineral dealership of the Freiberg Mining Academy.
