Description
Good Chloanthite (Nickelskutterudite) specimens are inherently extremely difficult to photograph because of the countless lustrous, reflective crystal faces. So I try my best to describe the piece. This is a very rich Nickelskutterudite ore specimen with a silver-gray-metallic color. The crystals have due to their isometric nature square cross-sections. This is a very rich, classic specimen found in the 1960s at Schlema-Hartenstein, where the pits are now abandoned and the dumps reclaimed. A very good specimen, and much better in person.
