Description
A specimen with numerous metallic, steel-gray, sharp Magnetite octahedrons covering the display side. A classic specimen from a classic locality in Massachusetts with an interesting history: Emery, an abrasive which consists of a mix of Corundum, Magnetite and/or Hematite was discovered in the mid to late 19th century, and a mining operation, the first of its kind in America, was established. An aesthetic piece from a great locality, hardly ever offered on the market.
