Description
A small cabinet-sized piece from Lovelock in Nevada. Blood-red clusters of well-developed Cinnabar crystals with sharp edges in a vug in chert that is lined with Calcite rhombohedrons and translucent Quartz. This specimen, although characteristic for the deposit east of the town of Lovelock, Nevada, it is somewhat reminiscent of material from Styria, Austria. A relatively rare piece!
