Description
Rammelsbergite is a fairly common ore mineral, however, it is not that common at Schneeberg, a mining district in the Saxon Erzgebirge. The district can boast 293 valid mineral species and is type locality for 36 valid minerals. One of these minerals is Rammelsbergite: metallic gray grains on a Carbonate matrix. A classic ore specimen from the type locality of a classic mining district of Germany.
