Description
This is an over 5 cm tall spray of sharp Epidote crystals with an excellent vitreous luster. The cluster is a very dark olive green, mostly opaque with a very weak translucency on thinner prisms and thin edges. Most of the terminations are perfect and show the monoclinic crystal symmetry. This is a rare locality specimen that can easily be mistaken as coming from the Rosario Mabel Claim in the coastal Cordillera of Peru but it is from Cordillera Kari-Kari in southern Bolivia, ca. 1,250 km as the crow flies, southeast of the Rosario Mabel.
