Description
A deep green crystallized Conichalcite aggregates on a gossan matrix. The crystals are very sharp with a glassy luster and form sparkling spherical clusters. This is a typical and colorful specimen from the famous Ojuela Mine in Mapimí in the Mexican State of Durango. The Silver deposit of the mine was discovered in 1598 by Spaniards and the Ojulea Mine was active, frequently interrupted by political turmoil until the 1940s.
