Description
An incredible single Elbaite crystal from the famous Himalaya Mine in the Mesa Grande District of San Diego County. The specimen shows an unusually saturated color with the lower 2/3s being deep green that transitions into a vibrant reddish pink on the upper 1/3s. Triangular in shape with typical striations on the prism faces, gemmy translucent, and a top vitreous luster. What else can you wish for? This miniature would make very good cutting rough, but who would deliberately destroy a perfect specimen?
