Description

Extremely nice Fluorite specimen with translucent, honey-yellow to amber cubes up to 2 cm on edge on typical matrix. The crystals are sharp with a strong resinous luster with occasional inclusions of small Chalcopyrite crytals. The display side shows very few spots with light damage. Aesthetic and classic material, typical for Frohnau. The village of Frohnau is best known for its museum of mining technology, the Frohnauer Hammer (a historic ore processing plant), and the visitor mine of Markus Röhling Stolln. The mining area around Frohnau is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ore Mountain Mining Region since 2019.
