Description
Barite, like many other species comes in a lot of different crystal forms. Even from the same locality they can have a different appearance, such as this Barite from the Cavnic Mine with an entirely different look compared to the previous specimen from the same mine. A large, 5.3 cm measuring aggregate of tabular, colorless to slightly grayish Barite crystals on a Barite matrix. The crystals of the cluster have a vitreous luster, they are sharp and gemmy. And for the color, the core of the main aggregate changes color from translucent colorless at the edges to a light brownish ay the base. Awesome aesthetics
