Description
Semseyite is a Lead-Antimony Sulfosalt found in mid-temperature hydrothermal veins. It is not only very uncommon, but also rarely found in really well formed crystals. Consider this specimen from the type locality for the species, the Baia Sprie Mine of Maramureș an exception. Sharp, steel-gray crystals with a metallic luster sporting a resemblance to Roman swords “fused” together in rosette-shaped clusters in a brecciated matrix with some small brecciated Quartz crystals. This is a unique and top specimen despite being “just” a miniature. Very rich and absolutely aesthetic for the species.
