Description
Very dark green single Tourmaline crystal from the famous granite pegmatite locality which belongs to the Araçuaí Pegmatite District of the Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province. Although the crystal is very dark, it is not a black Schorl, since the green color can be clearly seen in the splinters in transmitted light. Good triangular terminations, typical striation on the prism faces and a good luster characterize this single crystal.
Not that I would suggest to destroy a perfect crystal, but this one might be good cutting rough.
