Description
The first specimens of Chinese garnet associated with smoky quartz (and feldspar) showed up on the market during the Tucson Show 1998 and have become immediate classics. A typical combination of sharp, orange-brown Spessartine dodecahedrons with a vitreous luster on a sharp, translucent smoky Quartz with a perfect termination. The Quartz crystal has some negative impressions of garnet crystals that have been lost. As I said, a classic and highly sought after combination. I was told at some point, that a hotel has been built over the deposit, but I cannot independently confirm that.
