Description
There are very few specimens that can be attributed to a specific locality just by glancing at them. And this Aragonite from Minglanilla, Spain is one of them. A cluster of stout, short prismatic Aragonite crystals, a floater (!), with sharp, translucent, light gray-brown crystals with a faint lilac hue, a resinous luster and six-sided habit. A very nice specimen, overall very aesthetic. And keep in mind, that Aragonite has a fairly low Mohs hardness of 3½ - 4, and some dings are almost inevitable.
